Curry Kraut Fish Tacos

Cleveland Kraut has become a staple in my diet. Its fresh and crisp texture goes great on any dish, and by adding Cleveland Kraut to my everyday food choices, I can ensure I am getting a natural source of probiotics. The live bacteria in my gut, supplemented by fermented sauerkraut, help in the absorption of nutrients and the protection against harmful bacterial growth. Diet is one of the main contributions to our overall health, and by through daily consumption of natural probiotics, we can ensure that we are increasing the good bacteria in our gut, boosting our immune system, and regulating digestion.

Recipe: Makes 3-4 tacos

Ingredients:

4 small round tortillas

½ lb. cod or any white fish

2 bell peppers, thinly sliced

½ yellow onion, thinly sliced

2 medium tomatoes, chopped

¼ cup Curry Kraut

¼ avocado, sliced

2 Tbsp. cilantro

2 Tbsp. canola oil

Seasoning: 2 tsp. chili powder, 2 tsp. paprika, and 2 tsp. chipotle smoked red jalapeno.

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven 375F, and place fish and thinly sliced peppers and onions on baking sheet. Brush oil over fish and peppers, and sprinkle all with the seasoning spices.
  2. Bake both veggies and fish for 30 minutes.
  3. When finished stuff tortilla with fish, peppers and onion, curry kraut, tomato, and avocado. ENJOY!
